Kawatan was a busy kitty! He had a plan to enact, and a lot of property damage to cause! Of course the potential loss of life was never even thought of. He was so happy about being able to strike against the malformed one that he found himself caring rather little about the injury and perhaps even death of his blind minions! Anything the malformed one sank his claws in was corrupt and needed to be destroyed; that was just the way of things! Even this fair country was starting to show the signs of rot! Such rot only the mockery could be responsible for! On his back was a pack that was containing his supplies... All the materials he'd need for his 'presents'....
Moonriser found that walking cleared his head, distracting him from most troubles and allowed him to think about the more important things. He let himself wander the familiar streets of Canterlot while he considered his next course of action, now that a certain hybrid had been set loose towards the Canterlot PD. He wondered how he planned to bring it down, but after the destruction of the bakery, he had a good idea. Explosives. He found it would be nice to watch those fireworks from a good vantage point, if he was lucky enough to see it happen..
Suigyoku had gotten a good supply of stones and glass for his new project. His father had promised him he would be allowed to work on projects alone once he found enough shards and delivered a few to customers in Canterlot. Little did Rat know he was a mule, so while in Canterlot he was sent to deliver certain colored shards of glass to 'respectable businesses' that wanted to see 'samples' of the stones they could use for the glassworks Rat and his father blew. The shady parts of town made the disguised pony feel at home. The Changeling always felt out of place when involved out in the open and capital seemed to have many wide open places. The alleyways and secluded back-door shops made him feel at home, as if he was back in Manehatten. That pale shade of emerald was always easy to spot, an odd color for a pony. He was backing out of a shop, a voice, baritone in nature, calling to him. The built earth pony turned his head only to be fondly patted by a hoof.
Suigyoku held out his little satchel with his muzzle, a few bits being dropped in. 'Tell yer pops we expect delivery soon.' He nodded and turned to leave, the door being closed behind him. He tucked the satchel back in his saddlebag as his golden hooves carried him down the cobblestone alleys, grout moist with watery run-off from Luna-knew-where. Sneezing a bit a soft buzz escaped his nose. The pink-eyed shape-shifter raised a hoof to rub his snout as he walked. Ears would prick up as a certain body appeared across the opening of the alley as they passed. Their eyes pinched up, muzzle parting as if to call to them, but naught but a soft chirp would escape. Right... Looking around they galloped down the tight alley only to trip over a refuse bin and go tumbling out of the narrow part between the walls and into the open streets of Canterlot with a skid. He was only stopped by a nearby street edge as he went from stone to cobblestone and just sort of slumped in the gutter.
Suigyoku's short cropped, golden tail gave a flick as they pushed to stand. Shaking out their already -- outrageously unkempt fur, the Changeling in disguise turned to face Moonriser and chirped out again, their voice unable to really get the sound of greeting out. Hanging from their neck was their writing board, which was kept convenient for obvious reasons.
Kawatan flicked an ear as he thought he heard a voice. Perchance it was around the corner? It wasn't a voice he remembered but nontheless any voice in the shady parts of the city were worth a look! A dangerous way to think, of course, but his curiosity was one thing he never could get a paw on. Oh well! He rounded the corner and caught sight of a rather peculiar shade of.. pale emerald? He had to pause and gaze upon the oddly colored pony. Then again all of these ponies were strangely colored to him! There were just colors that were more unique than others! Alas the pony was rather quickly on the move. The 'zebra' did his best to tail the rather peculiar pony. He did what he did best; sneak! While he was curious he wasn't quite curious enough to initiate verbal contact. Alas he was yet to see Mr. Moon since the pony had got ahead of him a little!....
Moonriser wasn't too lost in thought, puzzling over the details of possible plans, to miss the distant sound of something getting knocked over. He stopped, head quirked back, and he almost dismissed it as nothing if not for the soft chirp that dragged at his attention. He turned to spy.. oh? It was Rat. He had yet to determine anything about them, short of them being mute; he hadn't forgotten that strange assortment of things they had spilled. Genuinely clueless, but still- that name, that was on his list of things to do. "Ah, Rat. Pleasant to run into you at.. this part of town." He didn't really have much of a problem with it, but he spoke like any of the rich class. "What brings you here?" Moon had little idea there was another nearby, and an ally to boot.
Suigyoku wiggled his tail a bit before seating himself. he was a bit short, and stocky but twas to be expected of Earth Ponies. He used his hoof to erase his board, taking the marker in his muzzle to write out his words. he was quite skilled writing upside down. A good sense to him, though other things -- Letting go the board would dangle on his neck with the Equestrian letters: 'Delivery to Mr. Cage. I go home today.' Cage -- was not an ordinary business pony. He was very good at making all sorts of cages. For bears, bunnies ... ponies. Sometimes he would 'sell' a cage to a unlicensed hunters and other questionable sorts. Rat was an obvious butterfly. He did not know somepony was following him, but why would it bother him? Ponies were nice and wouldn't hurt the little fly in disguise! No it was spiders -- bigger bugs after him! 'WAAAAH!' He shouted suddenly, having scared himself with his thoughts of spiders. He looked around, hoof erasing his board.
Suigyoku frantically wrote with his muzzle: 'SPIDERS.' That seemed -- random. The glassblower was a little fragile in the head, or had already cracked a few spots in his glass. Calming himself the hidden Changeling wrote a new message: 'Moon-moon is shopping today? Would he like glass?' Rat was a good salespony! N-not really but give the under-staffed restaurant in his head, credit for trying.
Kawatan rounded a corner and came upon the sight of a familiar pony; one that put a wide almost cheshire grin upon his muzzle. T'was mister moon! Haha! Perhaps he could coerce some pets - wait, no... He needed to destroy the building ~ and then pets! His tail lashed under the heavy cloak he wore and he moved to walk own the alley towards the two ponies. He nearly jumped out of his fur whenever the green pony suddenly let out a frightened shriek, but... then he had a wonderful idea. A wonderful, awful, idea indeed! The sphinx ducked to the side and shed his cloak; all the better to frighten with! Thus he crept; paws keeping him much quieter than a pony! His wings fluffed and his tail flicked. Should he grow close enough he'd attempt to pounce the pony! If only to see just what he would do then, as excitable as he seemed to be. Of course moon could probably make him stop since said pony was facing his way more or less.. He just hoped the emerald one was distracted. Skittish pones were SO amusing.
Moonriser leaned his head forward a bit, squinting at what was scribbled on the writing board the moment Rat was on it. "Home, back to Manehatten that is?" A bit of a shame, he could find out more about this mysterious mute. He jerked back, alarmed by the shriek, and glanced around. There was nothing, and nopony nearby.. oh. "There are no spiders." He pointed out calmly enough, but his ears had tilted back in some irritation. What was he on about, spiders? His brow furrowed down, but his attention was attracted back to the board. "I was not out for any shopping, but.. what do you mean by glass?" He didn't think he had any such use for glass, but he'd humor him just to find out more. There was a flash of white out of the alleyway but Moon made no move to stop it; as long as things weren't directed at him, he didn't care.
Suigyoku smiled as he wrote on his board. He held it up to Moon again. 'I make glass for special ponies so they can hold things in them.' It seemed -- normal enough. Rat did not appear to have a bad bone in his body! His eyes pinched up in happiness that Moon-moon was curious. Using his hoof to wipe the marks and write another it would read: 'Moon-moon should meet my father, he would be happy. Moon-moon is good pony.' But Rat thought everypony was good. Pure, pure changeling. He turned his head, something was off. Suddenly the Changeling. He had some energy from the delight the other ponies received from his delivery. He had plenty of energy to keep moving but -- when attacked by a cat so big the Changeling let out a scream of horror, as if he was being murdered. Falling to the ground he would bonk his head and not only fall unconscious but lose his disguise. Now what lay before the pair was a very green, very broken looking Changeling. You killed Kenny!
Kawatan flicked an ear as he hear Moon speak but his attention was upon the green pony. Just as soon as he jumped he felt a resounding sense of excitement. How perfect an ambush this was! The scream of horror hurt his ears; but at the same time it was the crème de la crème of amusement! The pony toppled beneath him and hit his head. However what happened next shocked the sphinx! Pony changed into changeling! "Whaaa?" was the eloquent reaction of the zebra-feline as he stared at was definitely a green changeling. His gaze switched between the fallen changeling and Moon a few times only to gain an expression that was somewhat torn between confusion and uh... sheepish pride? The way he was standing was almost akin to a cat that brought a dead something to someone.
Moonriser peered at the board again. Glass.. Rat did mention that him and his 'papa' made blown glass. It would be interesting to have, something decorative to hide anything in. Out in plain sight? Perhaps he could find out more.. but not anytime soon. The flash of white he'd seen was actually Kawatan, pouncing poor Rat. The scream hurt his ears and he folded his back, pinning a hoof over one of them until it had passed. He hated screaming and loud noises like such, it just filled him with such irritation.. Moon's mind went blank when Rat went from pony to.. strange green changeling. He stared, shocked. The filly was mentioned to be a changeling and then.. Rat too? Who the hell else was a changeling? Moon wasn't particularly scared of them, just unsettled, and distrustful. His face darkened a moment and relaxed back to its usual scowl. "What do you know?" He looked up at Kawa, eyebrow quirked. "I didn't think things would keep landing in my lap like this, but here we are."
Suigyoku was an unnatural shade of green. His fangs, which were meant to be downward facing -- were up. His horn-- missing. The stump was there showing that it perhaps had snapped off entirely? His wings were mostly shredded up, uncared for. He was likely incapable of flight. The fangs would explain his distorted speech, or perhaps there was something more? He was thin, almost starved of emotions, yet even still he seemed generally cheerful. He lay on his back, death twitching. Poor bug.
