It did seem the spirit would choose to keep attached to the mare's back even after landing. He was a bit spoilt, wholly stubborn. If allowed he would rather be taken care of than care for himself! He did not seem ruffled at playing the weak and wobbly role if it earned him pity points. Pity points could go far if divvied properly! He would listen as the mare moved, his eyes drifting along her walls. Tall and painted with a shade of evening, it was had become a familiar place to him. He relaxed, exhaling the stress from his body. He was glad the mare was strong enough because he rather enjoyed being carted everywhere! His ears pricked up as his lips drew back in a smirk. With his tail curling up he could feel some of the numbness ebbing away. The white tuft on his tail gave a flex and twitch.
"You know I could get used to this, being carried around to my destination. I can see why you princesses show such pomp and parade coming in by chariot. It is rather invigorating having others beneath you~!" He tittered, though that was something that could be taken a number of ways...
The spirit snaked off the mare, one claw, than paw, at a time. He stretched out his body before settling on his rump on the bed's edge. He would cross one hind leg over his other hind knee and cross his forelimbs over his chest. Poised like a curious cobra the spirit of chaos smirked at the princesses wistful will to adventure. He was quite amused. Perhaps he could twist such a thing into his own benefit. If he could get them out of the castle more there wouldn't be a need to set fire to paperwork because it wasn't there. Delightful. Manifesting a boot in his paw, split at the spine, he would use his claw to push the red brimmed bifocal. The spectacles appeared in a similar spectacle: in a puff of smoke looking quite posh on his grey snout. The title on the book read: The Story That Doesn't End, or something to that effect.
"Well you know I think I have a good idea where we can find us a Dragon of Luck." He was tickled by the idea, since it was a world of dreams.
But that was for another time. He tucked the book into his feathers and moved to stand. It seemed he was getting his powers back and was flexing them out. Wiggling his paw and claw he would let a bucket of water appear over the mare's head. Though it appeared he was tempt to dump the bucket: soap and a scrub brush would appear. Sudsing up bubbles would fill the room, allowing one to float on them. Discord folded his forearms behind his head and magicked a glass of chocolate milk in his paw as he washed along. The brush and soap would look to scrub at Luna's hooves.
"Ho ho ho, isn't it such a wonderful world?" He waggled his brows, as he seemed to be wearing a pair of red suspender shorts with white buttons.
A pair of animated mops waltzed into the room and swept the bubbles away. The seemed to be talking backwards or something, but would leave, the room in its original state and the (balcony) door slammed behind them. He stretched his arms over his head feeling much better being able to cast. Floating off the ground he would laugh. It was good to be out of that forest and even better to be with magic again. He vanished and reappeared on the mare's bed, covers not promptly tousled about as he curled into it. The discordant spirit pulled his paw to his muzzle and weakly coughed.
"Oh I think I over did it Lulu~" The troll... "Yes, yes, I shall tell you the stories once I am nice and comfortable." Hue hue hue. But there was always a price to pay with him to pass the bridge.
He snapped his claws and would look to manifest a little Nurse outfit on the lunar deity.

Sitting at the bed's edge, Luna felt Discord slowly slither off of her back at long last. She readjusted her wings, giving Discord a frown as she did. "The ponies of Equestria are never beneath us, but the way times have changed have them throwing themselves at us to serve us. It was never something we wanted, never what we planned for. I do wish I knew why this changed. I cannot trust the history books if there are falsehoods and exaggerations."
It greatly concerned her. When Celestia and herself first were chosen by the ponies and Starswirl himself to lead the three pony tribes without favoritism, because of their status as alicorns, they vowed to be guardians more than they were leaders. They would protect, not rule. They did help where they could, until her fall. Did her transformation into a nightmare and following banishment have something to do with the situation they were in now? The corners of her mouth turned down a little further at the thought and Luna hoped it wasn't the case.
The nightbringer was distracted from her thoughts by Discord's wild brand of magic, from the manifestation of a book with a strange title and spectacles, to soap, a brush and bubbles. Luna felt herself buoyed up on them, her hooves washed by the animated brush and soap. She allowed herself to rest back a moment, head tilting to follow Discord's progress with his glass of soap with a look of slightly befuddled surprise on her face. It wasn't that she was unused to Discord's shenanigans, it was merely sudden to have so much of it happen at once in one room.
It'd also been quite a while since he'd done anything like this.
Luna was relieved to see the mops clear away the soap bubbles out the balcony door, coming back to rest on her bed as they went by, and studied her hooves. Clean again, and dry, not a bit of dirt, mud or any other leaving of the forest floor on her hooves. She felt a lot better about pushing herself further onto her bed.. but her advance was halted by Discord slithering in to nest and (of course) messed with her covers.
The lunar diarch fought the urge to roll her eyes at his melodramatics, and yet again before she could move up beside him she found herself adorned with a... nurse outfit. Luna looked a bit unamused and crawled up beside the draconequus, snuggling up close. If he expected her to fetch him anything, he was sorely mistaken! "And I am sure you will be." Luna said, dragging her disturbed covers up and neatly over the pair of them, looking expectantly to him for a story.

Perhaps a little adventure was all the spirit needed to resume his spontaneous use of magic. If one took time to consider the situations of late: he had become lax in his aberrant display of wizardry. The dread of possibly losing one of his beloveds was a sobering fact, that, while he may resist his subjective reality of mortality by rewriting the coporeality of his existence, it was simply placed on facts that others, could not deny the ephemerality of those around him with such reckless abandon. It was a lame and, twas in earnest, a foalish endeavor to restrict the time of another from passing through in order to play at his leisure, which easily crossed the tail-length of an era.
Had it been her time, such a cardinal rule could have surely, with doubt, been broken if only to have one more day. He had rules to follow and rules to break. Time bemt, broke, and renewed with his activities keeping life flowing forwards rather than back into the darkness from.whence it all came. Such an experience had led him to worry of the fragility of his alicorn. Surely they were powerful, gods amongst their peers, but in compare they needed slept, rest and hand't the capacity the chaotic spirit did to drive forward on an infinite, motivative, source of energy. It gave him need to regain that position of power, a place where he did not merely watch over their realm from another.
This world could not handle the destructive brand of chaos he once wielded. Evidence of such still scars the land, the once green place barren and wounded with a permanent scar belonging to chaos. It was proof thay, had he such desire, he could affix to this world a change that none could break. It was evidence of his power. The princely lord of chaos would not dwell, he could not dwell! It was outside the realm of possibilities for him. So when Luna was garbed in the delightfully tight, clean nurse's outfit he would find himself pleased as punch at the embarrassingly tight, temptuous outfit. Feeling her settle in the bed, beneath the mess of covers, and snuggling herself against him, caused him to curl up against the mare.
He rest his head atop of hers, taking care of her horn. "It is customary that the nurse that the patient's tenperature~" He cooed before wrapping his forearms around her, beneath her forelegs, a thermometer appearing in his muzzle and a silver pocket watch hovering just over her muzzle to clock the minute.
He hummed softly, unable to talk with it in his muzzle. He let his body snake against her stomach, hind legs tucking under her rump, tail tu ked between and wrapped over her back like a body pillow made of draconequus. His white tail tuft brushed against the length of her back, paw rest against his chest, since he lay on his left, whilst his claw gently scratched at her side, just beneath her wing. A whole minute did he play with her, the fabric of the outfit shifting when he did and getting in the way at certain spots, while exposing at others. His favorite was the skirt, or course. Quite lovely to sneak around.
The thermometer beeped indicating it took the temperatire, but it had a nonsense reading: nine and three-quarters. What was that about? "Let's see, how about the story I never told anypony. I'll tell you first." He began, the watch and thermometer vanishing. "About how I became the handsome pony I am today~ A tale of conquest and power~!" He rumbled excitedly. The draconequus began his tale.
I had always been in possession of the Chaos Realm, long before you two were even born. I'll admit it goes through more changes than I would like, but I couldn't have expected for our realities to be so different. You know I never had a problem because I was my realm. Came a point I had to undo myself from it and travel. That was how the first world was made. I quite liked the inhabitabts. Though they were hardly talkative, or intellectual.
In such regard the creatures that dwelled long before anypony and long since ended before anypony. They were absurd creatures of various sides and shapes, sometimes having no reason to be present beyond the amusement of their master! Was it Discord? Who was to say, but the changes that ensued thereafter often resonate in the strange animal fossils found by scientists. When something wasn't quite right, you could be sure to blame Discord!

In the comfortable, shared space that was her bed, Luna finally allowed herself to relax after the adventures in the Everfree Forest, which meant she didn't feel much like moving when Discord hinted that she ought to check his temperature. She whined softly in her throat, moving just enough to spy the strange thermometer sticking out of the corner of Discord's mouth and the pocket watch.
"As far as I am aware, you are perfectly fine." She gave the nonsense reading a quizzical look and settled down again with a stifled yawn. "I am, in no way, a proper nurse. I doubt it would be very safe for me to pose as a healer pony, or even an assistant to one."
Luna stilled and quieted, aware of Discord's movements against and around her, being cradled in his arms and wrapped up by his long, serpentine form. It was a comfortable place to be, and more so on cold winter nights. Autumn was approaching fast, and would soon be here, when the temperatures began to cool to let the land rest after a hot, sunny summer. The nights would lengthen, and Luna would have to raise the moon much earlier, as did Celestia with the sun- but for her it was by a mere hour or so. With Luna it would be evening when the moon began to show its face.
Longer, earlier nights. It was an apt exchange after her fury of a thousand years ago of going so unappreciated and unnoticed by the ponies.
The outfit she was wearing because of Discord's magic felt a little too tight on her, but she entertained it and the draconequus by leaving it there while he fussed over her and scratched at a place under her wing. It was pleasant, that, a soft and soothing feeling through her coat. "A new story unheard by anypony? Do tell." Luna bid eagerly, lifting her head just slightly despite the weight of Discord's on her own, and set it back down against him. It might be a joke of Discord's and may not even be a proper story at all, but she trusted him not to fool around. Anymore than he had tonight, that was.
Luna lay, quietly listening, curled up against her beloved. One of her wings extended to rest over Discord while he began to spin his tale, and his voice made for quite the perfect one for telling stories with when he spoke gently.

He delighted in the fact that she fancied hearing a special one-of-a-kind Discord story. He hardly ever told those! Especially when they were not in his favor. The only time he tooted his horn was when he as victorious! And in this case he certain had been, in securing the mares for his own playthings. At first there were merely toys, but as they started to match his wit and eve overcome it, he became distraught, distressed and even disgruntled at their minor victories over his lack of expectations. That was all it had been! A simple underestimation of their cleverness! Perhaps it was why his tales were hardly believable. The fantastic, awesomeness that was his stories did come with a brand of ridiculousness that were almost blasphemous. After all what could a god of chaos create but madness?
Quite a bit, in fact.
He chuckled and snuggled as clsoe to the mare as he could. The evening was a bit too quiet for him, but for now he would let it pass without incident. Sometimes it was as bit difficult to resist the urges that plagued him. More often than not the spirit would go right ahead and exercise his right to alter the world. There was no real question as to why he did these things because the answer was the same as asking a pony why they did what their special talent dictated: It was what they were best at. Discord didn't know how to do other things beyond causing confusion and dismay. He either did not notice, or did not bother with, Luna's discomfort in the outfit., It amused him! He was always the one to wear outfits, so why not them once in a while?
Oh please I used to be the cat's meow. I mea when you've lived as long as I have you gain certain attributes. I used to be much taller and had a fuller beard. I was the most terrifying thing, but you two had been so small. So how was I could to fid inside of your perspectives? Certainly it would be impossible for your minds to truly absorb all that greatness at once, so I decided to travel around. Now we all know the rules about traveling through time and space: never meet yourself, but I just couldn't resist. I was far too handsome. Of course in doing so it had become difficult to recognize if there were times I was dreaming or if these places were realities of their own. Of course I cam e to the conclusion that dreams were also reality and plucked myself a new form straight from them. Quite easy to make yourself a handsome new reality from those that already exist. And so you have the handsome me~!
That was a bizarre story. The tale of how the spirit downsized, huh?
"What do you think? Fully of mystery, intrigue! It was quite the adventure. There was also a hint of romance, did you notice?" He waggled his brow and nuzzled her snout with his.

There was a chance Princess Luna was always ready for an adventure, and it might even be true. Anything that got her out of the castle and the strange new schedule she and her sister were meant to commit to. However, after the adventure of tonight where Discord was injured, or at least, poisoned, she was fine staying here in bed with him. Sometimes she didn't mind spoiling him, too, when it happened. She did recall the time when Ruby, in her egg, got away from Discord and the wild chase it lead them all over the castle, as well as the many times it hit Discord in the chin.
Did she ever get to kiss his chin better? Luna couldn't recall if she had. She was tempted to now, even if he might not even remember, even if it'd been months since.
The alicorn lay there, listening as Discord's voice droned pleasantly on, but the story he told eventually started to sound more like it was coming from his ego. She fought the urge to roll her eyes, but she was smiling. It was just so typically Discord. It was a rather short story, and fell a little depressingly short of what Luna was expecting, but..
"I like it. It gave me some more insight into you and what you once did. There is much I still have little idea of, but all in good time I think. We have plenty of time to hear of all of your history and exploits." Luna answered, leaning up to kiss at his chin, just at the spot where it grew out into the goatee he sported. His eyebrow waggling earned a soft chuckle. "Yes, I did notice. It lead to this, I am sure."
Though would Luna ever have expected to end up courting the spirit of chaos? No, she didn't. It was a bit of a surprising turn of events, but she'd gotten to see so much past the spirit's chaotic, playful mask and saw more of his true self underneath. Not the terrifying monster he thought he was, nor the one she saw back when he melted the throne room in order to stop the embodiment of darkness, but something.. more. His true emotions. It just made her like him more, now that she got to reconnect with an old, old friend.

Discord relished in his little gag. Luna seemed stupified, stumped! Confusion was always a handy side job. And this time there seemed no need for hypnosis~! It wasn't a story, by the way stories went. There wasn't much swashbuckling or herosum. If nothing else it was full of mystery and intrigue. Questions of just what he looked like could surface, but the mares had the displeasure of seeing such in the throneroom. There was nothing more baffling than a being who could exist so extradimensionally that he would melt existence, exsisting. The walls didn't just melt because of a baaaad magic trip.
He continued to hold and caress the mare, allowing her a moment to feel a sense of security and warmth. While a bit too inactive for his tastes, the poison was still in his system making him a bit woozy. He did throw off quite a bit of magic to show off, and that had been a mostake. He was still not quite up to par, but he made a statement. The only doctor care he would be willing to accept would be from his little mare here.
He snorted at her comment. "I aim to please." Not really. "But now that I have wet you appetite for my adventures~ shall I tell you the second tale?" He would chuckle and tug at the heinous obstructive fabric. "But we shall be rid of this, much better feeling you tucked against my feathers. For medical reasons, of coursr." With a snap the outfit was gone and he could now feel the lunar princess' soft fur.
His nose buried itself into her mane for a moment, the beast relishing in his coveting. He did rather enjoy spending time with her, even if he was remiss to admit to the sappier reasons. He had a reputation to uphold! Moving his claw to caress the mare's recently freed fur he cupped her flank to pull her closet and would look to lay his head against hers.
"I would dare offer you a most grand and legendary story, a reward for the heroine of the night, hmm? How about a tale of another maiden, whose heroics thus allowed you the glory of saving me this evening?" He teased ever so darkly. "Perhaps even more insight on my dashing good looks and unspeakable force~?"

The night was still young, as it was said, so laying here with Discord hardly made her feel dozy. Resting from dealing with the wyrm, but hardly tired. She was relaxed. There was a small smile on her face, with all well again and Discord just as himself as ever, other than his earlier dizzy spells. She didn't shift much when the draconequus tugged at the restricting fabric on her body, promising her a second tale.
Luna waited until the nurse's uniform was gone to stretch out a little more, uncramping her back legs to rest them close to Discord's body. "A second story would be delightful. Is it as large as you claim it to be?" The moonbringer subtly teased and snorted with amusement. "What other maiden would there be, other than mine own sister?" Luna ventured, raising an eyebrow. Still teasing.
She was trying not to make it clear she was a bit disappointed with the short story she'd been given, a mere chance on Discord's part to stroke his own ego. It did, truly, give her more of a glimpse on something he did in the past, how he came to look the way he did now, but Luna wanted something more than what he'd given her, and she was curious what he intended to tell her now. What other maiden would've helped lead the princess of the night to saving Discord? That had been entirely Luna.
Luna chuckled softly, shaking her head beneath the weight of Discord's and nuzzled up into her neck. "Fan the flames of my curiosity no longer. Tell me thy story."

A soft nicker-purr escaped his throat, feeling his precious lover squirm and stretch after being freed from the constrictive fabric. His claw gladly do into the fir against her flank, holding her closr. Said claw drew up to brush through the fur along her side. He relished in the sensation, the ability to being able to feel her. Hearing her so close was nice as well. No screaming, no aversion. It was the sweet, gentle teasing of his lover. His ears pricked up and swiveled forward. His jaws parted as he exhaled the coolest of chuckles.
"Should I not? I do prefer you hot and bothered." He returned, her teasing words. "Well this story is much more fantastic and difficult to tell on a day, but I shall do my best to embellish details." He offered, nosing her snout affectionately.
He settled comfortably against the mare, as much as a long noodle like him could. Taking in her scent and the quiet of the night was relaxing, but perfect for causing mischief. If now for the unsettling stomach, lurchy feeling he would have quite a blast displaying his prowess. His lips pulled back in a smirk.
"I shall tell you of a maiden, oh so sweet, to whom you owe my current existence to. Consider yourself lucky, for one such as me only comes once a century." He paused to count. "So, if we are taking such into account there are a million of me." Perish the thought. "This maiden is like no other, quiet lovely and intelligent." He dared nibble Luna's ear before tucking back against her neck. "She was soft and always perfect for resting against."
As he spoke he scrunched up closer. It was as if he was locking the mare into an inescapable trap. His words were almost hypnotic… was he using his magic? Not quiet, yet -- as he spoke a picture began to paint itself inside the lunar princess' room. Her walls began to shift as a vision of a world far beyond Equus designed itself in the small space. Fields of gemstones, instead of trees. Pearl colored rocks that shown in the moonlight. Amethyst tree trunks, from with dangled sheets of feldspar. The skies were green and the moon itself a lilac hue. It was not -- chaotic, but different from what one was used to.
The ground had become soft, patches of gold grass over lilac colored sand. It was warm, feeling no different where they had been. Strange animals roamed the distance. A massive lake in the middle of the field, creating a serene vista as they drank from the pools. There were figures curled up, but they were not clear. The bed, which they had been lying on, had suddenly been turned into a hammock. The spirit would attempt to roll and pull the mare onto his chest so she would be more comfortable. His hind legs parted as he pulled his forelimbs against his chest.
"Let's see she was… ten feet tall." As he spoke one of the shadowy figures in the distance stood… ten feet tall. "Slender, curves like a dream." The figure was tall, thing and -- well they looked like… "Lovely horns and a nightmare's wings." It began to show…
A feminine being: half dragon half pony and no other beastly bits. It was a lovely creature, Discord was correct. Upon closer inspection the draconequus female was tending to a recently hatched egg. Others in the tribe gathered. There were very few of them. They whispered and seemed concerned by the birth.
"They were expecting an ordinary youth. Perhaps more dragon than pony. After all the father was… a strong red scaled beauty. They weren't wrong to think they were going to receive a prodigy, a pedigree youth. I was too handsome for them to handle, too powerful." His eyes closed as he tried to remember bits and pieces.
Were Luna to look it was an ordinary little draconequus. Nothing like the Discord she had now. So how did he become this? How long ago was this? It was not a realm easily found, or recalled. A realm just for the twisted forms.

Luna scrunched her nose up when Discord came in to rub noses, but there wasn't any disgust in the action nor her expression. It was more.. playful. She fidgeted a bit at the feeling of his paw running up through her fur, but stilled in short order as she waited for Discord to begin his tale, hopefully without too much embellishing.
The appearance of the scene, superimposed over her walls by Discord's magic, forming off to the side prompted Luna to shift and turn her head beneath Discord's to watch. She didn't have any words for it like 'movie' as movies didn't exist in Equestria (yet), and so all she had to call it in her mind was a vision, or projection. Discord's talk and nibble to her ear prompted a few, quiet giggles to go through the princess, more felt than heard with as close as she was in Discord's bodily embrace.
The princess lay there, mildly aware that his body was tightening around her while he spun out a part of his history, and with every detail he spoke aloud, she noticed how it was added to the scene. An entire race of draconequui? She'd never seen any of them until Discord, and none of them looked the way he did, nor did Discord's hatchling self.
She could see the tall draconequus he spoke of was his mother, or so she gathered from both the imagery and the storytelling. Luna had to wonder how Discord came to be like this, to look the way he did now in her bed. As badly as she wanted to ask him, she dared not interrupt the flow of his storytelling or the recollections of his memories. It was mentally marked down in her mind to ask him once he'd finished, if he didn't answer the question itself in the story. It was, would be, a part of his history wouldn't it? Her forelegs tightened around Discord as she watched on, giving her bed- now a hammock- a curious, cursory glance.
