Marwari was getting a little more comfortable in Equestrian society. It had been a week or two now and she had found herself a part time job in a shop opened at night. A small corner store with various snacks and drinks for nocturnal citizens. It was delightful, but hard. The bay pony thought being a nomadic tribe was difficult. She was wrong. How could ponies do this every night? Citizens of Equestria were sorely underestimated.
Every night, during her break she would stop by the castle to have lunch with Mirage and make sure he was eating as well. She would have small conversation with him about the day and his studiws. Today, was no different! She was on break and would head towards the castle with her lunch basket. She had to keep her food away and concealed. What she ate was not found to be pleasant by other ponies.
She was granted entrance to the castle, thankful of her familiarity. Traversing the halls she would make her way to the library and ask the librarian of they would call for Mirage. She would be in the A's today with her meal.

The ebony and crimson unicorn was out and about. Apparently, Discord thought he needed to work on his endurance for some reason!?! He had no idea what that Draconequus meant when he said, "Raise you're endurance to last longer". It was irritating, to say the least, his endurance was fine, right? He could last long enough with magic not that it mattered anyways most of his missions required him to use his specialty and his speciality required him not to be seen hardly...like a rogue in the night.
Mirage was doing well though other than that interaction with Discord...it seemed the princess of the sun was recovered slightly as well...which was good he hated bothering his mentor when she was worried about her sister. Even though he did require her guidance from time to time...some things he just could not do with out. Like these thoughts in his head...and well...it just was awkward he never had them before. Training helped take his mind off things and he could think more clearly when using his magic to avoid obstacles and other puzzles.
Mirage right now was in a maze of fire...sure it blazed in the forest he trained in, but he didn't make a move to put out the flames nor did he seem panicked the flames would grow. They did not they stayed where they were blazing as sweat beaded his forehead. The flames were real...to any pony that woukld come into the garden...some may even be scared and call for help...that would be the obvious choice after all, wouldn't it?
Mirage just simply smiled as he raced into the maze of flames that was created and looped around them as he looked left then to the right; dodging the flames as they shot out to lash at him. One flame scorched his right hind leg as he shuddered, but held the pain down. He then continued on as he finally found the correct path and escaped the flames.
Once out he let out a sigh and the flames suddenly vanished and the garden remained fully intact...the garden was not scorched at all and no sign of a fire in the area...that is of course because Mirage brought the fire from nothing and it was nothing...nothing, but an illusion that felt and looked real to all that would see it. The scorch mark on Mirage hind leg was gone, even though it still hurt...it was only because his mind saw it and reacted with the idea of pain, but in reality, he was perfectly unharmed and in a few minutes his mind will realize that as well.
The night guard that was watching was one he was familiar with at first she was scared of his little "stunts", but in time she had come to expect it out of him. The bat moved closer once the flames died down and bowed her head, "Sir, Mirage....you have been requested to go into the library." She stated as Mirage smiled and nodded, "Oh...it's that time is it? Thank ya...and is Princess Luna up and about?" He asked her, before following her towards the library.
The mare nodded, "Yes she is away right now however. Shall I inform her upon her return you seek and audience?" Mirage shook his head as they approached the library, "Oh no it's fine thanks..." They entered the library together.

Mawari waited for Mirage. She was not sure if he would come. While she admired his studious nature, it was difficult to spend her time alone as she did due to her new presence in this land. Canterlot was a difficult place for a foreigner likeher. She was also a bat pony. While not in small amount there weren't as many of her kind here. She had been looking for a place to work, but this far none needed a skill less worker who could only fight. Some stated she join the royal guard, but there seemed more of her kind than she could handle.
She would sit at a table in the library and take out the meal. It was a few sandwiches and a handy little drink box with what Marwari liked to drink best. "I do hope he isn't busy."
She fretted, not wanting to have disturbed him when he was busy. She did also worry be didn't eat or sleep enough. Using her forehooves she would raise the sandwich to her muzzle to begin. She did not make these for she had difficulty even with samdwiches! Poor thing.

Mirage made his way into the library and the guard took her leave after giving him a quick salute. Mirage returned it before she left and offered a small smile before she disappeared out of the room. The black stallion let out a sigh and turned around to search for Mari through the endless books shelves...he did often like to come here many books.,..some times he spent days in here at a time in his early days at the castle.
He caught the glance of an book called Griffins, Manticores, and Dragons...oh my...that brought back memories...it was one of the first books he ever read back in the forest when he was just a wee little foal. He was caught up in his memories that he nearly missed Mari down one of the A aisles. He almost, but he caught her out of the corner of his eye and turned to meet her; approaching slowly, "Oh...hello Mari...wonderful night tonight, isn't it?" He asked quietly in a library voice.
