The purpose for this thread is to outline what is generally frowned upon in original characters and what is not allowed. While this may not be included in the Rules thread, they will still be considered as such.
Take note, this thread's purpose is not to create 'limits' on original characters. Rather, we do encourage creativity; there are just certain paths that that creativity might sometimes take that just won't fit in with the dream's canon. There are certain characters, portrayals, and whatnot that should only be contained to fanmade works or fanfictions. To bring in a character who's story makes Equestria, canon characters, or otherwise center around their character(s) is world-breaking and generally unpleasant to deal with, considering that we're trying to keep everything as even and fair for everyone as possible, without an original character imposing upon others' characters or canon characters.
1.) Your character cannot be related to a canon character without the permission from the player that roleplays said canon and the dream owner (it would perhaps be generally preferred if your character was 'adopted' as family through roleplay, in any case).
2.) If someone passes off a canon character they were playing to another person, the relation may be voided without question if they do not wish for their canon to have OCs related to them.
3.) Characters will not, and cannot, be invincible, at the same level of power as an alicorn, or completely overpowered/godlike.
4.) You may not base your characters strengths upon world-breaking moments from the show (ie: Big Mac pulling an entire house), considering those are cartoon mechanics, nor should you forget that MLP's own canon is not a good measure of what is realistically possible, and shall accept the limits set down by this dream.
5.) It is possible to make a dark or evil character without being too much of a tryhard. Trying to be ~edgy~ just looks ridiculous.
6.) Take note that certain fan-made things may be frowned upon, such as certain inappropriate jokes about 'wingboners.' Sorry, wings just don't work like that!
